Review - benefit eye bright

benefit eye bright - £15

I have been using this eyelliner for about a year now, it has the perfect amount of white and pink in it to brighten the eyes without being to obvious. As you can see from the first picture i have used quite a lot, i use this in the inner corner, bottom water line, brow bone, down my nose, cupids bow and on my eye lid as a shadow base. From what iv just said i you can see that this is a versatile multi use product.

Eye bright is easy to apply ,well pigmented and blends very easily .It lasts all day apart from when applied in the bottom water line then it only lasts a couple of hours like most products applied to the bottom water line.I really like this product and use it everyday as part of my 'everyday makeup routine' and don't think anything can replace it.

Review - MUA eyeshadows

shade 20 - superdrug

shade 11 - superdrug

shade 24 - superdrug

shade 22 - superdrug

shade 20, shade 11, shade 24 and shade 22
MUA eye shadows are sold at superdrug and on the MUA website for £1

MUA eyeshadows  are super high pigmented and easy to blend and at just £1 they are amazing value for money! In total i have four MUA eyeshaows, three pearl (the last three swatches) and one matte (the first swatch). The eyeshadows don't fade and  are quite long lasting alone but with a eyeshadow primer wont come off till the end of the day, but its not necessary to use one. When applying them the pearl eyeshadows have some fall out like any shimmer/glitter eyeshadows nothing to really worry about.

  • The first eyeshadow is shade 20 which is a dark matte black.
  • The second eyeshaow is shade 11 which is a bronzed copper brown with shimmers of gold when swatched, but in the pot it doesn't look anything alike it does swatched.
  • The third eyeshadow is shade 24 a which is  brown/purple with gold/pink shimmers.
  • The forth eyeshadow is shade 22 which is a pale pink with a touch of gold with blue shimmers.

MUA have a total of five matte eyeshadows and 26 pearl eyeshadows (it says theirs 34 pearl eyeshadow but superdrug only sell 23 and MUA sell 26) so there will definitely be a shade you like! I will definitely be buying some more to add to my collection, The MUA eyeshadows are perfect for you if you're just starting out with makeup because you can experiment with different colours for just £1 an eyeshaow, their also great if you want to start to build up your makeup collection, because at just £1 you cant go wrong!

Review - 17 supreme shine lipstick, All About The Sass

17 supreme shine lipstick, All About The Sass - £4.99

At the moment I've really been loving the bold lips and dramatic eyelashes look, so i thought i would do a review on one of my "bold lips" lipsticks.

The 17 lipstick is in the colour All About The Sass and is one of their supreme shine lipsticks, it is a very bright dark pink colour. It apply's really nice to the lips and is very moisturising for a lipstick, it lasts really well about four-five hours before you need to reapply, i also find that if you try not to drink or eat for about 20 minutes after applying it then it stays on longer because it has "set/dried" on the lips. The finish of the lipstick is glossy the name is a bit of a give away;  it is a supreme shine lipstick so it does gives your lips a nice shine to them, so if you like matte lips this this wouldn't be for you! It is such a reasonably priced lipstick that is of great quality and is definitely a staple in my makeup bag.

Review - Maybelline colossal volum' express smokey eyes mascara

Maybelline colossal volum' express smokey eyes mascara - £7.99

I have mixed reviews review on this mascara, if i was to write this review a month ago i would be telling you how much i hate it and how you shouldn't go out and buy it, but now my view has changed.

The first time i wore this mascara it started to crumble of my lashes throughout the day (this has never happened before to me) The bits of crumbled of mascara then either went in my eyes and made my eyes hurt or went under my eyes and made a mess. Because of this i was not to impressed, and just thought it didn't even make my eye lashes look fantastic or anything so its not even worth the crumbling because it doesnt really do anything specail. I gave it one more go and  it did the same thing, so i dismissed it off as being a rubbish mascara and put it to the back of my makeup collection, feeling disappointed.

Then about a month later i thought i would give it another go before i threw it out and i loved it! Yes my opinion changed a lot it didn't crumble off my eyelashes, didn't smudge and stayed on my eye lashes all day. I don't know why it was so terrible the first time and not now maybe its dried out and that's helped which sounds weird but who knows.I hope that main was faulty or something and that's why it was so awful the first time i used it, because now it works really well and the brush is great at separating the lashes and making them look longer, fuller and more even.

Would i repurchase/ recommend? - | YES | NO | MAYBE (in hope that main was faulty)

Sorry it was more of a ramblings review then information.Hope it still helps in someway.

Review - body shop natural lip roll on in berry

I have the body shop natural lip roll in the flavour/scent berry. I wouldn't say it it was a strong scent sometimes i can smell it and other times i can't.while i was in store i did smell the the other flavour/scents too which were: rose, orange, mint, coconut and then berry which i got. Some of them have quite a strong smell and others you couldn't really smell anything, so if you don't like strong scented products then there will be one for you as well if you do like strong scented products, win win for everyone.

The natural lip roll on is very moisturising and leaves the lips smooth and soft just like it says it will.It has 100% natural ingredients, and doesn't leave the lips sticky. The only downside of this product is that it seems to take ages for it to sink into the lips, which can be a bit annoying because it has a kinda slimily/slippery feel on the lips. I wouldn't say this is a major problem but would suggest you use it on a night before you go to bed rather then in the morning when your doing your makeup, or you could apply it over a lipstick to give it a nice glossy look.

Overall i would recommend this product because of how soft it leaves your lips and would  repurchase it in the future, after i have used up all my other lip care things i have.

Review - rimmel vinyl jelly gloss lip liner

I have rimmel vinyl jelly gloss lip liners in the colours 004 sorbet and 001 moreish. 004 sorbet is pink/red colour and 001 moreish is a barbie light pink colour. i personally prefer 001 moreish and have been wearing it everyday recently all over the lips as my lip colour.

They apply really easily and basically just glide onto the lips, you can get a nice precise line if they are sharp, if not its a bit more difficult.I personally wear them all over the lips as my lip colour instead of using them as a lip liner by drawing on my lips and then applying a lipstick over. They blend really easily and i  think they give the lips a nice glossy colour.I would say they have a bit of glitter/shimmer to them in the pink one its more visible then other one. They okay on the lips not anything fantastic you do have to apply more than once a day but they are really moisturising.

One thing iv noticed is that  i can only apply it once- twice before its blunt..Just something to think about because i think they will quickly run out/be used up.

I was looking for them on boots/superdrug and i cant find them so i think they have been discontinued which is a bit annoying but places like Amazon have them. They cost about £2 - £4 depending on where you can buy them.If they hadn't been discontinued i would definitely repurchase them, so if you see them in a store near you i would definitely try them before you cant get your hands on them.

Review - rimmel sun shimmer bronzing powder Medium matte

£5.59 - superdrug ( currently on offer at £3.69)
£5.61- boots

This is my go to bronzer if am in a rush and want to quickly contour and make my face look more glowly and healthy with a bit of colour. This is normally quite hard to find in a bronzer as i am quite pale but this does the job perfectly, i use medium matte. This is defiantly one of my favourite bronzer and never lets me down. What's even better is the price at £5.59 you really cant go wrong.

The formula is nice isn't too chalky and is very easy to apply with a brush ( it doesn't swatch well though ahah) It doesn't have an orange or muddy look to it. It is very easily buildable so you can keep applying until you achieve your desired look. It does have a slight make-up smell to it,but i personally like it but again its not to strong so not something i would worry about. The bronzer states that it is matte but its does have a slight shimmer to it, it's nothing to visible though

Overall i would highly recommend this bronzer, and think it would be a good product to have in anyone's makeup collection.

nail varnish cake stand holder/organiser

If your stuck how to organise and store your nail varnish, this could be your solution. Follow the steps below to create your own nail varnish holder like above.

1- first of all get your cardboard and place your cake stand on top of it, then take your pencil and draw around the bottom of your cake stand, then cut it out. Test it out to see if fits, if it doesn't trim it till it dose.

2- in about the middle with your pencil or scissors make a hole, then draw a line from the middle to the edge then cut it out. You will now have to make the hole bigger and the line wider till it will fit your cake stand.

3- place the piece of cardboard into the bottom section of the cake stand.

4- for the middle section cut out what you think the size circle will be, then trim till it fits and repeat the above steps.

5- for the top section cut out a circle that you think will fit it then, then trim it till it fits and then put it in the top section.

6 - Then place all you nail varnish into the cake stand, i personally like to organise them into colours,
  • top section- clear,whites,nudes
  • middle section-pink,purple,orange,red
  • bottom section -green,blue,grey,black (i have some spare space so also keep nail polish, nail files, gems etc.. anything to do with nails really)
Its up to you though how you organise them, that's just how i do.

Hope you found this helpful if your stuck how to organise/store your nail varnish/polish, how do you organise/store yours? tell me in the comments or on twitter i would love to hear from you.

Nails Today - 17 magnetized nail polish in Green

Hi everyone, on my nails today i wore 17 magnetized nail polish in Green. I really like how you can create different designs by just adjusting the angle of the lid or for how long you hold the lid over your nail (the magnet is in the lid). In the photo above i applied one coat of nail varnish with no top coat and it lasted well on my nails.

If you have never used a magnetized nail polish i would defiantly recommend getting one, thanks for reading i hope you are all well and are having a great week so far.
