Review - The Body Shop liquid eyeliner

About:The Body Shop liquid eyeliner in 01 Black retails at £9.00.

Body shop says:

This liquid liner is easy to control. The fine felt-tipped applicator delivers colour exactly where you want it.

  • Easy to apply
  • smudge-resistant
  • Dermatologically tested
  • Opthalmologically tested
  • Suitable for contact-lens wearers

Application:

I would say this eyeliner is very easy to apply the brush is a bit like a felt tip and is quite stiff so it is easy to get a straight line. It also has a thin tip so it is easy to get a thick or thin line.

Colour:

The colour is definitely an intense black if it is gone over twice, but if not it is still quite a dark black but not quite as intense. Once dry it has a lovely matte effect unlike most liquid eyeliners.

Staying power:

It stays okay on the eye's all day but in old places it starts to fade a little and can some times be smudged.

Other:
For some reason when i first apply this eyeliner it makes my eyes sting. Once it has dried my eyes stop stinging, but if i rub my eyes my eyes start stinging again. This is probably because i have some of the eyeliner in my eye's or something, but am not quite sure why my eyes hurt when i first apply it.

Good points:

  • It's matte
  • Is an intense black
  • Easy to apply

Bad points:

  • quite expensive
  • makes my eyes sting

Overall:

Overall I wouldn't say its a terrible eyeliner but its not one i would repurchase and is definitely not one for someone with sensitive eyes or maybe contact- lens wearers even though it says it is. I may even throw this eyeliner away because it hurts my eyes so much, which is a real shame because everything else about it is good well apart from the price and i have heard lots of good reviews about it and love lots of the bodyshop products so it was a bit of a let down for me.

Thanks for reading,
I hope this helps some of you if you were wondering whether or not to buy this eyeliner. If you have any request tell me in the comments below or on twitter at Dazzleulooks also tell me what you thought of this post i would love to hear what you think.

D.I.Y - decorating ikea draws ( makeup storage )

Hi everyone, today's post is a D.I.Y on decorating the Ikea Moppe Mini chest draws. They cost £17 which i think is good value for money. You can personalize these draws so much till there to your taste. These draws are defiantly multi purpose i am going to use them to store my makeup but there are loads of other uses for them.

Here is a video that i did to help you see how i did my draws,It starts from when they are painted:

You will need: paint, paint brush, ruler/knife/piece of wood(something to mix the paint) glue/spray mount, cardboard, scissors, pencil, ruler, wallpaper/wrapping paper(the wrapping paper i used was from house of Fraser).
1. Paint the draws and the frame(you don't need to paint inside the draws, the bottom of the draws or the back of the frame which holds the draws)

 2. This is what it should then look like after you painted it. I used Laura Ashley duck egg blue paint. You could leave the outside like this if you like this look.

3. You then need to do the inside of the draws with your wrapping paper/wallpaper. To do this make a cardboard template of the inside of the box using the bottom of the box as a guide line. Then cut out the wrapping paper/wallpaper using the template. Spray mount the inside of the draw and stick down the wrapping paper/wallpaper.

4. Then place the front of your draw onto the wrapping paper/wallpaper draw around it then cut it out. Once you have done this take the spray mount and spray the front of the draw and then stick the wrapping paper/ wallpaper down.

5. Do as many of the draws with wrapping paper/wallpaper as you like and then you are done. The last job to do is fill the draws full of your makeup or what ever you are going to put in them.

Thank you for reading,
i hope this was useful for you if you are stuck what to store your makeup in. I would love to here what you thought about this post please leave me a comment below or tell me on twitter. Send me a picture if you try it out and if you have any requests please tell me i would love to hear from you.

D.I.Y - Bow back top

Hi everyone, This post is going to be on how to create bow back tops. Their so simple, easy to do and look great and you hardly need anything to be able to do them. Also it doesn't involve any sowing which is great seem as i cant sow and am sure many other people cant too or maybe just don't like too.

Bow back tops are so versatile and add something to any outfit and are great for the summer time, iv been seeing a few bow back tops in shops lately so this is a great cheaper alternative. You also get to add abit of your own style to them by deciding how big or how many bow you want or how big you want the gaps between the bows to be and you get to reuse one of your old tops so its better then buying a new one and it saves you a bit of money.

I did not come up with this am not sure who did but the person who i found it from was Macbarbie07 when she did a video on how to do bow back tops so i thought i would do a post on how i did it hope you like it.

The things you will need to make a bow back top is a top, a piece of cardboard, scissors, fabric clue, and a Stanley knife and ruler but if you have a rottery cutter/ fabric cutter then that would be a lot better and quicker I just didn't have one.

First cut about half an inch to 1 inch of fabric from the bottom of your top trying to get it as neat as possible.

You should be left with something like this.

cut the fabric that you got from the bottom of your top into strips about 3-4 inch , you will need about six pieces depending how many bows you want.

Place the piece of cardboard inside of your top (this will stop you cutting the front of your top at the same time)

place the ruler where you want to make your first cut and carefully cut the fabric don't go to the ends though.

Keep cutting slits into your fabric about 4 inchs apart and you should have something like this.

Pinch the fabric in the middle and take a strip of the fabric you cut earlier and warp it around where you pinched the fabric together in the middle.

Take your fabric glue and glue down the piece of frabic ( you could sow this insted but i think the glue is quicker and easier then sowing and the glue works just fine )

carry on repeating the above steps by taking a piece of fabric and glueing it down to create the bow, then you should be left with something like this and your done.

Hope you liked this d.i.y if you found this helpful or try it out, or if you have any requests for more d.i.y posts let me know in the comments below, thanks for reading hope you have all have a  wonderful day.
